DETECTIVES investigating a deliberate fire at a disused building at a railway yard yesterday issued descriptions of three young boys they think may have information.
More than 25 firefighters tackled the blaze on Thursday night at a former dyeworks building at the Tulloch Road railway yard in Perth.

At the height of the blaze, 40 nearby residents, including a number of children, were evacuated from their homes.

Yesterday morning, British Transport Police (BTP) confirmed the fire had been started deliberately.

Detective Inspector John Harrington, who is heading the investigation, issued descriptions of three boys he said "may have information regarding the fire".

They are described as aged between 12 and 14, slim and between 5ft 4in and 5ft 8in tall. Two of the boys had short brown hair; the other had reddish hair.

Det Insp Harrington said: "I would ask anyone with any information whatsoever to come forward.

"I am particularly keen to trace three children who we believe may have spoken with firefighters near the scene and a youth by the name of William or Willie who may have seen something.

"I am also keen to speak to a man who may have spoken to at least one of the children."
