Local food for local people on the rise

DEMAND for Scottish food has increased in a "seismic" shift over the past year, a minister said yesterday.
One leading supermarket saw sales of Scottish produce increase by 20 per cent in Scotland and 14 per cent in the rest of the UK, rural affairs secretary Richard Lochhead told the Scottish Food Fortnight industry showcase at Glamis Castle, Angus.
