A RASH of UFO sightings was yesterday revealed to have been caused by a laser light show at a wedding reception.
Police and radio stations were flooded with calls after people in Midlothian reported strange lights and shapes in the sky. But the little green men in spaceships turned out to be a wedding party at the Dalhousie Castle Hotel near Bonnyrigg, on Saturday night.

A Lothian and Borders Police spokeswoman said: "We had quite a few calls and I believe Radio Forth had a lot as well. We were a bit excited for a while, but it turned out to be a laser show at a wedding reception. I think people were more curious than anything else."

No-one from Dalhousie Castle was available to comment.
