Work begins on widening harbour

WORK got under way yesterday on the first phase of a £12 million scheme to deepen and widen access to the harbour at Lerwick, Shetland's main port, in the largest marine civil engineering project planned in Scotland this year.
The project will also involve the dredged materials being used to reclaim land for new development opportunities.
