GEORGE Burley's position as Scotland manager has sparked interest with bookmakers following the goalless draw with Norway at Hampden Park which leaves the home side struggling to reach the World Cup play-offs. Burley is odds-on to no longer be the Scotland manager when the World Cup finals take place in 2010, with Graeme Souness the favourite to take over.
William Hill make Burley 4-7 to be gone (5-4 to survive) before the finals, and have installed Souness as 4-1 favourite to succeed him as the next permanent manager of the Scottish national side.

"Pressure is certainly building on Burley after failing to beat Norway and then Kris Boyd refusing to play under him," said William Hill spokesman Graham Sharpe.

Hills make Billy Davies 5-1 second favourite and also offer 6-1 Craig Levein; 7-1 Mark McGhee; Gordon Strachan; 8 Ally McCoist; 10 Joe Jordan; Gary McAllister; 12 David Moyes; 16 Kenny Dalglish; Jim Jefferies; 20 John Collins; and George Graham. Hills make Scotland 4-1 to qualify for the World Cup finals in South Africa.

#1: "Bigotland"? That's a bit harsh. Don't lump all Scots football supporters in with the ugly twin sisters that are the OF. & the majority of their supporters don't fit the bill either.

For my money anyone who allegedly says he wished he had been born English so that he could play for them and would only accept the job of Scottish manager if he could continue to live in England has permanently disqualified himself. The fact that his only success as a manager was when he had club chairmen able to buy if for him becomes incidental.
It is sad that we have a press who have no respect for, and therefore hound, any Scottish manager who has no old firm connections disgraces our press - not the rest of us.

#1 Bigotland? As somebody with no interest in either of the Old Firm or anyone's religion and who attends every Scotland match I find you comments highly offensive. If you want to play your little sectarian games please go elsewhere.
