China to broadcast live space walk

CHINA will launch its third manned space mission later this month when the Shenzhou 7 is launched
from the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Centre in the northwestern province of Gansu.

Three astronauts, one of whom will conduct China's first space walk, will be on board. The mission will be broadcast live using cameras inside and outside the craft.

Just an after thought, but if these lads could open up a takeaway while they are up there that would be right handy for the lads on the space station. Hey could be another first for China.

Analysts on the mainland say if the space walk during Shenzhou VII's mission succeeds, it would be a fitting response to the United States' strategy over the past two decades of trying to isolate China in space by setting strict export embargoes and rejecting its requests to join the International Space Station programme.
"To some extent we needed the United States. Without their hostility, we wouldn't be so determined to develop our own space station programme," said a space security expert who asked not to be identified.

But at least by not denying my assertion you are finally agreeing that what passes for the government in Red China is a bunch of pariah murdering gangster thugs.
Yes we have murdering leaders like Brown, Blair etc etc too but at least we get the chance to change them in a democratic vote and are allowed the freedom of speech to call them what we wish.

And of course we do not live in fear of our government calling on us in the middle of the night. Our government does not DELIBERATELY keep us in enforced poverty. You guys will never achieve your coveted third world status until the likes of Hu Jintao and his murdering pals stop lining their own pockets.

Biden has one vote in support of ISS funding... McCain is a BIG nasa guy, and supports flying the shuttle beyond 2010 until new Orion EV comes onlind... Palin, has no record with regards to NASA...

I'd like to see a hard commitment to a Mars landing by 2020 goal... we could do it... viable plans are out there...

I can't help thinking the new enthusiasm on your part is because Nasa is dead in the water and the Russians are becoming more than a little ticked off at being forced to be the free taxi to the space station for the US.
