FORMER Austria coach Josef Hickersberger, who quit his job after Euro 2008, has revealed that the very thought of facing the Faroe Islands in World Cup qualifying was enough to make him walk.
The Faroes beat Austria 1-0 in their first international match in 1990, ending Hickersberger's first term as Austria coach and he said: "Our qualifying draw including the Faroe Islands is one of the reasons I am no longer coach. I'll watch the match on television and I will be glad not to be there. I don't want to be reminded of a match that took place 18 years ago."
