HEARTS have entered the race to sign Warren Feeney after his proposed move to Leeds United collapsed.
The Northern Ireland international striker, 28, has held contract negotiations with United – where he started his career as a trainee – but they have broken down.

The League One side have not given a reason why the deal for the Cardiff City forward has stalled, but it is thought Hearts are now tracking the player, who was on loan at SPL rivals Dundee United last term.

Leeds manager Simon Grayson said: "I spoke to a lot of players and he was one of them, but as it stands he will not be a Leeds United player."

Feeney, who has won 31 caps, has also been linked with Charlton Athletic, Norwich City, Huddersfield and Grimsby, but Tynecastle manager Csaba Laszlo could now land him.

Hearts struggled in attack last term and need new striking options to aid the likes of Christian Nade and Calum Elliot.

Black, Suso... Hughes, Kuqi, Miller now Feeney.

European nights at Tynecastle Warren, you know it makes sense.

Good to see not only has Csaba done his homework but we're looking for quality signings.

Have the Hobos signed any more Falkirk duds?!

This appears to be a story 2 days late as it was already reported on places like the BBC, who have now changed their story to "hearts have cooled their interest". I hope so as I believe we could get better.

Eddie, i can even imagine who you are - your between 18-20 who likes to sing daft wee bigotted songs in the boozer to impress the big boys. You have no idea what your singing about but you think it makes you "more hearts" to do it

Trust me, doing that doesnae make you more hearts it makes u a daft wee laddie who nobody gives the time of day to and when you reach a certain age you will think, what was i doing back then?

7 I reckon that's an out and out lie, we only have your word that you attend every Hearts game. Like poster 9 asks why would you choose a complete pleb of a coach as your user name and then proceed to spout uneducated garbage about something that has no relevance to modern day society. You are a tube and as such your comments will be ignored.
