HEARTS manager Csaba Laszlo has escaped a two-match touchline ban.
Laszlo's appeal was upheld by the Scottish Football Association following a meeting of their disciplinary committee at Hampden yesterday morning.

Laszlo was reported following the 1-1 draw with Aberdeen in the Clydesdale Bank Premier League on 25
October, where he stormed on to the pitch at the end of the game and became involved in a heated exchange with the fourth official John McKendrick.

He was also accused of shoving Aberdeen coach Sandy Clark but claimed afterwards he was simply following his usual post-match ritual of going on to pitch.

Meanwhile, Laszlo admits he is facing a goalkeeping selection headache for this weekend's SPL clash with Motherwell. Jamie MacDonald impressed between the sticks in last week's 2-1 win over Rangers after Janos Balogh missed out through illness.

He is set to return to training this week and should be back in contention for the visit to Fir Park.

But Marian Kello, who occupied the gloves earlier in the season, is also keen for a return to the first team.

"We will wait and see how Balogh is but we hope he can be back training this week," Laszlo said.

Hearts striker Mike Tullberg has returned to Denmark for treatment on a troublesome thigh injury.

He has been plagued by the problem since his arrival on loan from Reggina in the summer. Tullberg will now have a further consultation with a specialist in his homeland, who has treated him previously, as he attempts to overcome the injury.

Lee Wallace will be free to return to the side for the meeting with league leaders Celtic. The 21-year-old is banned for this weekend's encounter with Motherwell following his red card on Saturday but remains one booking short of the disciplinary threshold.

The Leith biased hootsman still can't get it right. According to the hootsman Csaba "stormed on to the pitch at the end of the game". Anyone who witnessed the incident or had taken the time to watch the actual video clip could see that Csaba walked onto the pitch at full time. I assume that even the GFA could not find anything wrong with Csaba's walking onto the pitch and being assaulted by McKendrick, thus the appeal being upheld.

GIRFUY GFA!!!

I'm genuinely shocked at this turn of events - justice has actually been done! But I suppose the SFA know they're guaranteed several trillion pounds a year from Hearts through our soft sendings off and bookings while Rangers and Celtic players get off scot-free for the same acts - Boyd and Boruc (fouling), Brougherra and McGregor (stamping), Boyd, MacDonald, Nakamura and Clubfoot (diving), etc - contributing to an increased discipline penalty, not to mention fines for talking out of turn (while Walter Smith gets a slap on the wrist for accusing a linesman of being biased towards Celtic).

#2 Whilst you maybe "shocked at this turn of events" the following will no doubt NOT surprise you.
Just another normal day at a "big" Scottish FC.

Hearts players wait for bonuses
Hearts players are still waiting on bonus payments after having on Monday received their wages four days late. Win bonuses from the last four matches - against Rangers, Inverness Caley Thistle, Hamilton Accies and Falkirk - have yet to be received. Each Hearts player is paid about £1,000 for a win by the Edinburgh club.
Wages due to be paid on Friday did not reach player bank accounts until Monday, while appearance money payments are also now up to date. The players receive weekly payments from the club's parent company, Ukio Bankas Investment Group, which is owned by Hearts owner Vladimir Romanov. Players would normally have been paid on Friday but were told they must wait until Monday. A UBIG spokeswoman was unable to explain why the transactions had not gone through on Friday.
On Saturday, prior to the 2-1 victory over Rangers in the Scottish Premier League, the club had confirmed that wage payments had been delayed for the second time this season. But, when asked why the Hearts players were not paid their wages on Friday, UBIG spokeswoman Jurga Chomskyte-McGeever told BBC Sport on Monday: "I have no idea." Players and staff found themselves in a similar position in September, when they had to wait almost a week to be paid.
On that occasion, the Tynecastle club blamed the problem on a technical hitch, but no reason has been given for the latest

I am also very surprised at the 'u' turn that has been made even though the "press" still go on about his storming onto the field. I had a look at the bookings ratio on Saturday's game and as far as I can remember Rankers had plenty when we had one red (second yellow a joke with the wee paul nicholas lookalike doing the dive and playing to get him sent off IMO). If they had been booked for the constant fouling their disciplinary record would be well over the hearts one. Mind you SFA or GFA wouldn't allow that and the precident was set when they charged HoMFC with the ludicrous fine. How could they fine such a wonderful club as sellick or rankers C'mon the JT's

Glad the sentence has, correctly, been overturned but what action is being taken against the officials who falsely accused him in a written report of acting in an aggressive manner?

#6 - I'm sure you meant #3 Yawn and not #4 Yawn ?
( get it right !! )
Anyway, you haven't heard it before from me.

Ain't it funny though that even many of your own supporters are confused ?.

"George Foulkes, a former chairman of the club, said that he, along with many of his fellow Hearts supporters, felt confused by what had been going on, and suggested that was the case much of the time with Vladimir Romanov"

#7 I stopped listening to what the bitter and twisted Foulkes has to say years ago.

Good to see him in the Wheatfield Stand though!

Jamie McDonald did well between the sticks on Saturday?
No fault of Jamies but he had nothing to do.
