STRIKER Robin van Persie joined the Netherlands squad yesterday as they gathered for their World Cup Group 9 qualifier against Norway in Oslo tomorrow.
Van Persie withdrew from the squad last week with a hamstring problem, but will be tested to see if he can join the team that beat Iceland 2-0 to go top of Group 9.

Nigel de Jong and John Heitinga will miss the match against the fourth-placed Norwegians due to knee injuries. The Dutch will travel to Norway with confidence and the knowledge that a third successive win will put them firmly in the driving seat, five points ahead of Scotland, to qualify for the 2010 finals.

Wesley Sneijder is fit for the Oslo match, although coach Bert Van Marwijk will handle the midfielder with care as he has just recovered from a knee injury.
