Wilson in charge as Simpson quits

WATFORD chairman Graham Simpson has resigned from the club with immediate effect. He will be replaced as the head of Watford Leisure on an interim basis by Andrew Wilson, currently a non-executive director at the company.
The news was revealed at yesterday's annual general meeting and comes just a week after the club appointed former Chelsea youth-team coach Brendan Rodgers as a replacement for manager Adrian Boothroyd, who left last month.
