Elena Baltacha out of Pattaya Open

BRITISH No 1 Elena Baltacha has been knocked out of the Pattaya Open by sixth seed Peng Shuai.

Baltacha, who defeated Nicha Lertpitaksinchai 6-2, 6-3 on Tuesday, got off to a fine start in her fourth-round match, claiming the first set 6-2. But thereafter her Chinese opponent took control and claimed a 2-6, 6-1, 6-4 victory in a little under two hours.
