HI guys. Well that makes it 74 years then. No you cheeky beggars not my career in the music business. Fred Perry and all that jazz. Oh well Murray, there's always next year, as my manager says to me each time that hallowed Christmas No 1 eludes my ever-more-desperate grasp.
All the talk at Wimbers has been speculating on the contents of my handwritten note of Congratulations (geddit?) I sent down to the lad after his win on Wednesday. The truth is I was asking him to put in a discreet word with the powers-that-be for me and the Racquettes . There's no reason that blasted roof (which I'm sure doesn't have the correct planning permission) should stop us performing. Altogether now: "We're all going on a summer holiday....."
