A TAPE recording of a "drunk" John Lennon slurring his way through his version of the 1957 rock 'n' roll song Just Because has sold at auction in Los Angeles for $36,000 (£24,000).
The six-minute recording was made in 1973, and features Lennon substituting the original lyrics with "debauched" amendments. It has never been publicly broadcast.
