NEW carriages for tilting trains to ease overcrowding on the Glasgow-London west coast main line by 2012 have been ordered by ministers.
The 106 coaches will create four new Pendolino trains and lengthen 31 existing trains to 11 coaches each.

But if the draft timetable for December published by DfT in September is not changed, most journeys from Motherwell and Lanarkshire will get 1 hour longer!
