I FIND that when I go to parties and people discover that I work for the blood transfusion service, it is like being in a confessional. My presence immediately triggers guilt in those who have never given blood or who have not given in a while.
We don't want to foster guilt, but as we enter Blood Donor Week, we must thank those who continue to donate, and reflect on the dramatic decline in the number of donors we have seen in the past five years. Scottish donor numbers reached an all time...
