I HAVE lost count of the number of times in the past week that a scientist has sighed quietly at me, trying to hide their disdain as I ask the question they seem to dread.

My six year old son was diagnosed with diabetes 10 days ago.( up until that day our main worry about him was that he watched too many cartoons) I read an artical in the Herald last Thurs and the Stem Cell scientists were saying that they will have a "cure" for diabetes soon etc. I have followed the newspapers avidly for a report re the Edinburgh conference but alas nothing.
You are right Lyndsay the sufferers parents and of course the diabetics themselves are not asking for a definate date jist a wee rough estimate would be something to look forward to.
