POLICE in Glasgow and Manchester say they are making "good progress" in investigating the clashes which marred the Uefa Cup final.
Officers are still looking at large volumes of CCTV footage of the trouble that broke out in Manchester when a big screen showing the match between Rangers and Zenit St Petersburg failed to work just before kick-off on 3 May.

Detective Superintendent Geoff Wessell, of Greater Manchester Police, said: "We are determined to trace the people responsible for such disturbing scenes.

"These people sullied the reputation of Rangers FC and the genuine fans who acted impeccably."
