Baroness Amos to take Australia role

BARONESS Amos is to become Britain's High Commissioner to Australia.
Prime Minister Gordon Brown said the Labour politician, who was Britain's first black female Cabinet minister and who has served as leader of the House of Lords, would bring "energy, flair and experience" to the role.
