Intelligence chief out of coma

ALEX Allan, the chairman of the Joint Intelligence Committee, has regained consciousness, having been in a coma for ten days. The 57-year-old has been in intensive care since collapsing at home.
His family were said to be delighted at his progress. He is to remain in hospital.
