Postal strike cost online sales £53m

THE growth in online sales was slowed by postal workers' strikes, leading to a £53 million fall.
A study found that sales improved all year, but plunged by 5 per cent in the last week of October, when the Communication Workers Union took action in a row over pay, jobs and modernisation.
