MORE than £1 million has been invested in a Highland wind farm by local residents. The total of £1,043,900 is more than four times the £250,000 target to raise from shares costing £1.
The Kilbraur Wind Energy Co-operative was formed in August to give people a chance to own a stake in the 19-turbine wind farm between Golspie and Brora in Sutherland.
