AFGHAN president Hamid Karzai will be sworn in for a second term next Thursday, an official said yesterday.
Mr Karzai was returned despite a fraud-tainted election in which more than a quarter of his votes were ruled invalid.

"On 19 November, we will have a swearing-in ceremony for the president," defence spokesman General Zaher Azimy said in Kabul.
