SCOTLAND'S Black Watch soldiers will take part in a midnight marathon in Kenya to raise money for an orphanage near the base they are using for a training exercise.
The soldiers hope to raise £15,000 to build a classroom and library for the Nanyuki orphanage, north of Nairobi.
The event is being organised by David Anderson, padre for the 3rd Battalion Royal Regiment of Scotland.
He said: "The soldiers who have visited the orphanage have been touched by what they have seen and want to help improve the lives of children here."
