A SENIOR Russian general is calling Ukraine's order restricting Russia's navy from moving freely in Ukrainian waters "nonsense".
Ukrainian president Viktor Yushchenko has issued a decree requiring Russia to request permission to bring its ships back to the base that Moscow leases from Kiev.

The pro-western president's order is seen as a strong show of support for Georgia as both countries seek to break free of Moscow's influence. But the deputy chief of Russia's general staff yesterday dismissed the decree and signalled that Russia's Black Sea fleet would ignore it.

Colonel-General Anatoly Nogovitsyn said the order requiring Russia to submit a request ten days before ships return to the Crimean base was illegitimate and violated previous agreements.

The Black Sea fleet has been deployed to the Georgian coast as part of the military action against Georgia. Ukraine tightened restrictions on Russian warships sailing from its port of Sevastopol on Wednesday, requiring them to give 72 hours' notice before undertaking any movements, in what was described by Russia as "another blow" to already difficult relations.

Czar Putin, can you count to 4?

That's how many Russian bombers the Georgians shot down this week using the missile system they purchased from Ukraine.

Tsar Putin the Bootin obviously thinks he can totally ignore the territorial integrity of other countries, and dismiss their protests as "nonsense".

There isn't much difference between a bully with a big stick and a KGB thug.

The Americans and British are in no moral position to criticize the Russians. You people just murdered hundreds of thousand of people, mostly civilians in Iraq and frankly, I'm glad someone is finally standing up to the Zionist controlled puppets in the West. Long live Putin.

Georgia with the help of U.S soldiers attacked and killed 13 Russian peace keepers and 2000 Russian passport holders.

Russia responded very mildly.

Georgia is lucky that Russia did not flatten it.

Looks like the Caspian pipeline will now be just a pipedream for the zionist NWO.

Well you can all write till your fed up of doing so.
Putin con't care and you depend upon him and or the Sheiks for the oil to fuel your cars or the gas to keep warm in the winter.

Our dependemce upon imported fuel has left us an easy target for all these dictators petty or otherwise.

We did not give aid to Russia when it needed it do you think they will look benevolently on our pleas for cheap fuel or respectfully on our words of rebuke about their actions in Georgia or anf future actions.
Czechoslovakia, Poland, ETC will seem small beer over the next few years.

And so the pigeons come home to roost. Grim vindication for all of us who said that unilateral violations of international law by the USA would lead to untold mischief in the world.

The USA has sown the wind and will now reap the whirlwind. All the USA can do is snarl and whine; but has No real military options and certainly cannot claim any moral high ground having loudly proclaimed the "right" to pre-emptively invade other sovereign nations.

The price of hypocrisy, as always, is indeed high!

Looks like soon its going to be Ukraine's turn in the barrel.

Hey Ukraine I hope you don't think we Europeans will bound across to help you if Russian decide to pick a fight with you!

Smarten up and realise just how dumb Georgia was to start on someone as big as Russia.
