Serbian patriarch dies at age of 95

PATRIARCH Pavle, who headed the Serbian Orthodox Church during the break-up of Yugoslavia in the 1990s, died yesterday. He was 95.
He died in an apartment in Belgrade military hospital where he had been treated for various ailments since 2007.

Bishop Amfilohije, acting head of the church's Holy Synod, said: "The death of Patriarch Pavle is a huge loss for Serbia."
