THE Vatican announced its own YouTube channel yesterday in an attempt to reach the digital generation and better control the Pope's online image.
Monsignor Claudio Maria Celli, who heads the Vatican's social communications office, said the Pope explicitly approved of the online channel. He said he was "a man of dialogue" who wanted to engage with people wherever they were.

In his inaugural message, Pope Benedict XVI welcomed viewers to this "great family that knows no borders" and said he hoped they would "feel involved in this great dialogue of truth".

The site, www.youtube.com/vaticanit, was launched on the same day the pontiff praised as a "gift to humanity" the benefits of social networking sites such as Facebook and MySpace in forging friendships and understanding. The Vatican plans to update the site daily, with its messages available in Italian, German, English and Spanish.

The Pope's online image? hahaha
Will this organisation ever fail to shock us?

You can almost imagine the scene within the Vatican on the news that Jesus was coming(and lets face it, if Jesus was coming the Vatican would know about it because afterall, they own the rights to represent god on Earth) But imagine the news that Jesus was coming? You can almost see the pope and all his henchmen gathered around the table discussing this most disturbing news. Jesus is coming, that would be bad for business - no more scamming, no more power and no more authority. He would need to be stopped, but how? Well lets accuse him of being an imposter or abduct him and make him disappear - hahahaha!
Online image! CAN YOU IMAGINE if god launched www-godonline.com? That would destroy the church, we could all sit back and watch the war between god and the apparent messengers of god. lmfao

When one believes that only their beliefs are correct, they are part of the problem and not the solution.
