East Kilbride-based structural engineering consultant Grossart Associates has hailed its first year under employee ownership, including four hires.

The firm said it did not see any decline in business during lockdown, with no staff furloughed and some temporary workers brought in,while it has a full order book and was recently awarded a number of “high-profile” projects.

MD Hector Munro said: “Now that everyone has a real stake in Grossarts, we were determined that the business will be a success. Now that the employees own the business, there is transparency with the numbers and we know what has to be done. There is a deep confidence that we will win through.”
